Formatting of small model medals

Are you awarded an award or medal? Then you will usually receive a large model award and a baton. In some cases you will also receive a small model award and/or a badge. BOVOMED takes care of the design of these small model medals.

How do you wear the small model of your medal or award?

Wearing awards and medals and making them up is not optional. Special rules apply to this. We know them better than anyone. The most important rule? The most important award, medal or decoration is worn closest to your heart. Would you like to read the rules yourself? You can! Miniature version

The small model of an award or medal is a miniature version of the large model. Different rules for wearing apply to the small model than to the large model. The Decree distinguishes between the way in which civilians and military personnel wear their awards and medals. You wear the small model of your award or medal on the left chest of a tailcoat, tuxedo or military evening dress. Civilian ladies wear the small model of their award or medal on a bow tie on a gala dress or cocktail dress.

Wearing multiple small model awards?

Are you allowed to wear multiple small model awards or medals? Then you must have them formatted on a decoration clasp. This must be in the correct order. The small model awards and medals hang on the ribbon and are placed next to each other and in the correct order. You wear the most important award closest to your heart. You may only wear one row of small model awards or medals, no matter how many awards or medals there are.
